The “Unit of Measure (UOM)” screen is used to define and manage the measurement units used for items in the inventory system.
Each item must have a defined unit of measure to ensure accurate stock tracking, reporting, and transaction calculations.
The screen also allows defining conversion ratios between different units for the same item.

UOM Code:
A unique code that identifies each unit of measure (e.g., PCS, KG, LTR, BOX).
UOM Name:
The descriptive name of the unit of measure (e.g., Piece, Kilogram, Liter, Box).
Base Unit:
Indicates whether this unit is the base or reference unit for item conversion.
(Example: “Piece” could be the base unit, and “Box” may equal 12 Pieces.)
Conversion Factor:
Defines the ratio between this unit and its base unit.
(Example: 1 Box = 12 Pieces → conversion factor = 12.)
Decimal Precision:
Specifies how many decimal places are allowed when entering quantities using this unit.
Active Status:
Enables or disables the use of the unit in transactions and item definitions.
